Regarding: head prefect moses speech

Good afternoon Mr. Ang, Mdm Aini, teachers and guest. I am honored to give a

Speech as the incoming head prefect

Firstly I would like to thank

Mr. Robin Tham is my form teacher in sec 1 for nominating me to become a prefect I

Would not have be able to attain this position if he did not give me the opportunity I

Would like to acknowledge the continuous encouragement from my parent

And became what I am today I would like to thank my prefect

Master/mistress for guiding me and bringing out the best me

I am thankful and humbled for the opportunity, I will accept the position and

Do my best to serve the Prefectorial Board and north view secondary school.

We prefects will set an example for excellence, and to achieve excellence, one

Has to be committed. When we carry out our duties responsibly, punctually and

Cheerfully, our spirit will no doubt inspire other students to give of their best.

Of course, I am aware that without clear goals, and specific, workable plans to attain

Those goals, one will be like a ship that has set sail with no destination. A cruise to

Nowhere fun in the short term, but I think we should bear in mind the bigger picture.

What sort of impact should the Prefectorial Board have, and what sort of role should we play?

My dearest exco’s, commitment is the enemy of resistance, for it is the serious promise to

Press on, to get up, no matter how many times you are knocked down. It is important for

The exco’s to lead the PB with commitment, with passion and with pride.

To the sec 1

You are the newest addition to the prefect family. I would like you to remember that

Help will be given to those who ask for it. Never feel alone, because we are all here with

You and we are all in this together.

I would like to thank my best friend tan fuyu for being there for me when I was facing tough times and encouraging and supporting me when I was very down.

As a head prefect I have also some expectation. I would like my prefects to conduct

Assembly and be more outspoken and to involve more in maintaining the school discipline

What does leadership means to you?

Leadership for me means a person who can lead As

Leader we also must perform our duty from our heart leadership from the heart means

Leading a strong belief and purpose of what you are leading for and why are you leading.

Always remember that a leader is someone who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.

Thank you for your kind attention.
